Parents and students, in an effort to slow down drivers, four speed bumps have been installed on Nash Central High Road. Safety will always be our first priority. Please obey all traffic laws, drive at safe speeds, and follow school processes when dropping off and picking up students.

Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) takes the safety of its students, staff, and community seriously. In light of a threat that was communicated to the school and as a precautionary measure for safety, NCPS initiated a soft lockdown for Nash Central High School. Law enforcement has been informed and is currently investigating the situation.  All after school activities will resume as usual.  We appreciate your understanding and support as we work diligently to maintain a safe environment for everyone at NCPS. Definition of a Soft Lockdown: A soft lockdown is a proactive response to a potential threat when the credibility of the situation has yet to be determined. The Nash Central Band performed yesterday at MPA! The judges award each band a rating from 1 to 5 with 1 being the best. The three judges for our stage performance gave us a 1, 2, and 2 respectively, and the sightreading judge gave us a 1 - that's good for a Superior rating overall, the highest rating offered at the event! Congrats to Mr. Minster and all his students for their hard work!

🎨Celebration of the Arts🎨 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, 3/26 at Rocky Mount High! Join us to celebrate the brilliance of Nash County Public Schools' students at our Celebration of the Arts! This event showcases artwork from students across the district. After the celebration, the artwork will be displayed at the Braswell Memorial Library throughout the month of April.
