This is my 21st year as an educator, in which the last 8 has been working as a school counselor at Nash Central High School. I am an undergraduate alumni of East Carolina University, where I studied Psychology. I also am a graduate of Liberty University, where I obtained my masters of education in school counseling. In addition to being a dedicated educator, I am also a dedicated wife and mother of 3. Overall, I’m passionate about serving in my life roles and helping students reach their fullest potential. I believe that every one possess a gift, talent, or skill that makes them “Be-You-tiful” in their own special way.

This is my 22nd year as a School Counselor and my 6th year at Nash Central High School. I graduated from the University of the North Carolina at Wilmington with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and East Carolina University with a graduate degree in Counselor Education. I love working with high school students to help them prepare for life after high school, whether that is as a college student, a member of the military or a member of the workforce. I have been married to my husband, Brett, for 26 years and we have two children. Our son, Owen, graduated from North Carolina State University in May 2023 and is working as an engineer with United Rentals in their Trench Safety Division. Our daughter, Emily, is a junior at East Carolina University, where she is in the Honors College and is majoring in BioMedical Engineering.

I have been a school counselor for 25 years and this is my 12th year at Nash Central High School. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a BA in psychology and then from UNC Charlotte with an advanced MA degree in School Counseling. In addition to counseling, I am also a NCHS volleyball coach and a local coordinator for exchange students. My passion is working with students to help them meet their academic, emotional, and career goals. I am married to Chad Thompson, executive director of CTE in Nash County schools, and we have 3 amazing children, Anna Shaye and Brooke (who are NCHS grads), and Brody who is a 6th grader at Red Oak Middle. Our family also is hosting 2 international exchange students this year, Viola from Italy and Jacob from Germany.

I gradated from The Prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Sociology B.A. and a minor in African and African American Diaspora Studies. I am a Bulldog alumna c/o 2019. I am very family oriented being the only girl of 8. Fun Fact: I have an obsession with wax melts.

This is my 8th year as a school social worker and my 3rd year at Nash Central High School. I graduated with my BSW from Elizabeth City State University in 2007. I also hold a MS in Human Behavior. My daily goal is to laugh and inspire those around me. I firmly believe that in order to teach the head, you must first gain the trust of the heart.

I am and have been the school nurse at NCHS for 18 years. It is hard to believe I have been a nurse for 28 years now. Time is a thief. I earned my BSN from Barton College and I am a nationally certified school nurse. I am married and I have two sons (Langdon 23 and Lance 20 and one step son( DJ age 27). Both of my sons grew up swimming and my youngest, Lance, swims for NC State now...Go Pack! I love Bible study, group fitness, talks with my oldest son Langdon, cheering on the Pack at swim meets, traveling, and long walks with my husband!

I am a product of the Washington DC Public Schools System, I'm also a Shaw University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. I worked for the Nash County Dept. of Social Services in the Children Services Unit, where I was an off-campus employee working with Communities In Schools, first as the CIS Social Worker for all schools participating in the program. In 2013, still under Nash County Social Services, I became the CIS Student Support Specialist for NCHS. I retired from Nash County in July 2022, and was hired in August 2022 to continue working the CIS Program here at NCHS. I am married with three biological children and two adopted children.

This is my 2nd year as Dean of Students at NCHS. I am a graduate of the historic Shaw University and Shaw Divinity School with Majors in Public Administration and Master's of Theology. I've served the Walnut Grove Church in Louisburg NC as Pastor for 27 years. I am married to the lovely and retired Annette D. Walker (former Principal of Princeville Elementary). We are blessed with 2 children, T.J. Walker Jr. and Timisha Joy Walker. We are also blessed with 5 grandchildren.
