Mr. Ambat
I am a graduate of a State University in the Philippines with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Physics. This is my third year at Nash Central High School, but I have been in the teaching profession for 20 years. I believe that to be a great teacher, you have to treat teaching as a vocation, not a profession.

Ms. Burton
I started teaching in 2003 since then I taught Mathematics in the Philippines. I have a degree in Master of Education with a major in Mathematics. Joining the Nash Central High School faculty in 2023 was one of the best things that happened in my career. I enjoy being with students and trying my best to impart knowledge with them, trying to erase the stigma that Mathematics is a hard subject. It is challenging but with the help of my colleagues I am now enjoying my craft more than ever. A proud bulldog here!

Mr. Wozniak
I have been teaching Science at Nash Central High School since 2004 after beginning my teaching career at Rocky Mount Prep in 2002. I graduated from the University of Miami (FL) in 1991 with a B.S. in Marine Science & Physics, studied Meteorology/Atmospheric Sciences at Pennsylvania State University, and earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching from ECU in 2006. The well-known quotations ““Education is not the learning of facts, but training the mind to think.” and “Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better” describe both my teaching philosophy and my personal approach to life.
