Principal, Dr. Jonathan Tribula

I believe that educating a child involves many stakeholders including parents, school staff, and community.  If a child is guaranteed to succeed at school, each of these components must play a positive role in the student’s upbringing.  It is my job to guarantee the success for each child at Nash Central High School.  Our staff and I will do our best to help ensure the other two stakeholders, parents and community, are a successful component to each students’ educational needs.

I have a diverse educational background.  I graduated with my associates degree from Pitt Community College where I played baseball for the Bulldogs.  After PCC, I attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with a Public Policy Analysis degree.  After working in the business world for a couple years, I attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary where I received a Masters of Divinity.  After teaching for a few year, I received another masters degree in School Administration from East Carolina University. Finally, I earned a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

This will be year 13 as a principal in Eastern North Carolina. I spent five years as an elementary school principal; two years as a middle school principal; and this will be the start of year six as a high school principal.

I am honored to be the principal at Nash Central High School.  We have an active community, rich traditions, eager students, and a fantastic staff.  Our staff is privileged to serve the students living in our surrounding communities. Will you partner with us to make this the best school in Nash County?

Assistant Principal, Ms. Danielle Jones

dkjones@nchpschools.net

Hello! My name is Danielle Jones, and I am proud to serve as Assistant Principal here at Nash Central High School. This is my second year as an AP, and I absolutely love every moment of it. My first year as an Assistant Principal was at Baskerville Elementary School, where I gained valuable experience working with younger students and staff. Prior to becoming an AP, I dedicated over 20 years to teaching in the Exceptional Children’s program (2001-2022), working passionately with students in both middle and high school. I spent 15 years in middle school and the remainder in high school, which gave me a strong foundation for understanding students’ diverse needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Being back at NCHS as an AP feels like coming home, and I am committed to supporting our students, staff, and community in every way I can. I believe in fostering an environment where every student can thrive, learn, and be themselves.

On a personal note, I am the proud mother of two amazing children: Ryan, 22, and Gabby, 17, who continue to inspire me daily. My passion for education and my love for family drive me to create a positive, nurturing environment for everyone at our school.
