Dr. Jonathan Tribula Named Principal of Nash Central High School

Rocky Mount, N.C. – Nash Central High School is pleased to announce Dr. Jonathan Tribula as the new principal, effective July 2023. With a decade of experience as a principal and 17 years dedicated to education, Dr. Tribula brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to his new role.

Before joining Nash Central High School, Dr. Tribula was the Principal at Beddingfield High School, Forest Hills Middle School, and Vanceboro Farm Life Elementary School. Notably, his tenure at Beddingfield High School in 2022 showcased exceptional growth, exceeding expectations with a remarkable 3.07% increase in student performance following the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In recognition of his commitment to education, Dr. Tribula was named a finalist for the 2020 Wilson County Schools Principal of the Year award. Under his transformative leadership, Forest Hills Middle School rose from a "D" school with a 50% composite rating to a thriving "B" school, achieving an impressive 74% composite rating.

Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, Dr. Tribula stated, "I am most excited about meeting the students and working with the staff and community to provide our students with opportunities for success upon graduation." His top priorities at Nash Central High School will be to maintain the school's exceptional graduation rate, enhance test scores, and foster a positive and inclusive school culture.

With his extensive experience and proven track record of success, Dr. Jonathan Tribula is poised to lead Nash Central High School to new heights, ensuring a bright and prosperous future for all students.
